Junior Seau was pronounced dead on Wednesday May 2nd at the tender age of 43. The cause of death was a self inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. In 2010, Seau drove off a 100 foot cliff and survived the plummet with minor injuries. He was charged soon after with domestic abuse on his girlfriend.

1992
After being chose in the first round of the 1990 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers, Junior Seau started to create his monumental legacy. Though his 1990 and 1991 rookie years were grand, 1992 was when he started making a tremendous stride.
1994
Still early in his NFL career, Junior Seau had accomplished a personal record in 1994. That year, Junior registered 155 tackles. He also made his first appearance in the NFL Super Bowl.
2006
After being traded from the San Diego Chargers to the Miami Dolphins in 2003, Seau started falling victim to injuries. In 2004 he tore a pectoral muscle that left him sidelined for most of the season. As if that wasn't bad enough, the following year he was sidelined with an Achilles Tendon injury.

Zynga ditching Facebook, to launch games service

Zynga Inc is launching a new games service that allows users to play on the company's website instead of Facebook, potentially driving traffic away from the world's No. 1 social network that is its biggest partner.

The service is the online game company's boldest move yet to create a presence outside of Facebook, where it makes 93 per cent of its revenue.

Investors sent Zynga's shares up 10 per cent to $14.48.

"Zynga is building their own web-based platform, which makes them a bit more independent and creates a brand for them outside of Facebook. But it doesn't really cut the cord with Facebook, and it won't have a dramatic impact on their margins," said Baird Research analyst Colin Sebastian.

Close on the heels of Virender Sehwag's world-record innings of 219 against the West Indies in the fourth one-day international match against West Indies, another youth 17-year old batting sensation Vijay Zol scripted history at the Anant Kanhere Maidan in Nashik (Maharashtra) as he smashed record-breaking knock of unbeaten 451 in the inter-state game.

This unbeaten record-breaking score by 17-year old came during the under-19 Cooch Behar trophy match between Maharashtra and Assam. He also broke the 11-year old record of Yuvraj Singh's innings of 358 runs in the same category.

Speaking about his innings, he said that when I went out to bat I had nothing in mind and just wanted to concentrate on every ball and play on its merit. He said that approaching the innings in this manner helped him to concentrate hard and play long innings. As the match got underway on Thursday morning with Assam winning the toss surprisingly asked Maharashtra to take first use of the wicket. The wicket was a batting paradise and made it very easy for batsmen to score runs.
