LUDHIANA: Punjab Technical University (PTU) on Saturday conducted a two-day workshop on value education at Shree Atam Vallabh Jain College, an institute of management and technical studies. Nearly 35 colleges of the city, Hoshiapur and Nawashahr participated in the workshop.

Noted resourceperson Rajul Asthna, member of academic council, IIIT, Hyderabad, laid stress on the human aspect in technical education and shared his practical experience in the field of work and wisdom for implementing education in human values (EHV) in different institutions.

Dr RP Bhardwaj, director recruitment, PTU, in his address, emphasized the need for inculcation of human values in technical education and applauded PTU for a worthy initiative. PTU is sponsoring one-day and two-day workshops and will thereafter be conducting an eight-day training programme. TNN
