The People’s Party of Punjab will ensure a turnaround in the state’s agriculture-dominated economy. The PPP chief, Manpreet Badal, says his party poll manifesto is almost ready and will be released in a few days.
He says the party’s thrust areas will be education, agriculture, public health, rebuilding the state’s economy and uplifting of poor sections besides administrative reforms, especially in the police department.
Manpreet is for free basic and technical education. Manpreet says his party is for a shift in the traditional cropping pattern. From a foodgrains- producing state, Punjab needs to be developed as a land of milk producers like Denmark, he says.
