The final publication of the photo electoral rolls in Punjab, which will go to polls on January 30, was released today across the state.
Stating this here today, a spokesman of the Election Department office said the rolls were also available on the net. He said the projected population of the state was 2,79,81,217 and the total electors in the state were 1,74,33,767 as on January 1, 2012. ''This shows an increase of 7,21,025 over the last year’s electorate and an increase of 543061 over the draft published on October 4, 2011,'' he added.
