The Bathinda police website (www.bathindapolice.com) has been hacked by a group identifying itself as the Muslim Liberation Army.
The website contains data such as the day-to-day crime diary, citizens’ charter, phone numbers of police officials, details about the recent recruitments and of cases registered at different police stations in the district.
SSP Bathinda Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill said: “Our Jaipur-based server has been hacked. We succeeded in putting things right in the afternoon, but the server seems to have been hacked again. Our website was being upgraded. The problem seems to have appeared during the process,” he explained.
