A new online booking service in the AC buses of Punjab Roadways and PUNBUS was opened by Transport Minister Master Mohan Lal Punjab in Chandigarh.Punjab is the first state in the North to start this service online. People living anywhere in the country can book tickets online at www.busindia.com.

Initially, these services are provided only for air-conditioned buses and then extend to long-distance buses and interstate routes in the next three months.The online booking project is being implemented by the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT), Pune, a premiere organization of Government of India.The online booking facility will be available from Chandigarh-Jalandhar-Ludhiana-Amritsar and Pathankot bus is, and will soon spread to the bus station in Delhi.Master Mohan Lal, revealed: "PUNBUS is in the process of signing an agreement with the Delhi International Airport Ltd.
