Five Sikh Head Priests and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today dedicated Sikh monument 'Virasat-E-Khalsa, depicting the evolution of Khalsa Panth, to humanity.
The grand museum covers the Sikh history right from Guru Nanak era to Guru Gobind Singh’s Khalsa Raj, depicting the unparalleled sacrifices of Sikhs for unity and integrity of the country. BJP national president Nitin Gadkari, religious heads of various sections, representatives of all castes and people from various countries attended the inauguration of the monument, which was described as a new symbol of humanity depicting universal brotherhood and love.
Mr Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal honoured the people associated with the project with robes of honour. Speaking on the occasion, BJP president Nitin Gadkari expressed happiness to be associated with the inaugural function of Virasat-E-Khalsa that depicted 500-year old history of Khalsa Panth. He decsribed it as a world class project that "exceeds your imaginations."
