Shriomani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee(SGPC) has decided to open 21 new educational institutes, including 10 colleges and 11 schools during two years said Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar ,President Shriomani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) while presiding over the meeting of the management committee of Mata Gujri College ,Fatehgarh Sahib.
He further said that all these educational institutes would be opened in rural areas to fulfill the main objective of the SGPC to provide professional education to the rural youth so they could establish themselves anywhere in the world.
The SGPC President also said that major threat before this region of the country is drug addiction and SGPC is making all efforts to stop this.He also said that all the SGPC members would be directed to prepare the lists of the drug addicts in all the villages, in their respective areas.
