Gian Sagar dental students win laurels

Students of the Gian Sagar Dental College have have done the college proud 
by winning top positions in the third year BDS examination conducted by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences results of which were declared today.

Sania Setia won the second position in the university examination while Heena Singla bagged the third  position followed by Novjot Kaur Ghuman who got the sixth position, Aninditya Kaur who got the seventh position and Jappan Sharma with
 ninth position.

Dr Sukhwinder Singh, Vice-Chairman of Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust, said the good showing by the students of the Gian Sagar Dental College in the university examination was indicative of the high academic standards that the college had set for itself. He said that the credit for this was shared equally by the students and the faculty of the college.

Harnam Singh, President of the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust, said that the Gian Sagar Dental College and Hospital students had done the institution proud by bagging top honors in the university examination.

Dr A. S. Sekhon, Dean of the Gian Sagar Group of Colleges, hoped that the students of the Gian Sagar colleges would achieve even better academic excellence and the Gian Sagar would become
synonymous with brilliance.

It was celebration time in Gian Sagar Dental College today as students of the other Gian Sagar colleges joined the dental students in celebrating the outstanding brilliant performance of the dental students in the results.


Colleges are run by the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust are committed to providing quality education to the students. He said the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust has been promoted by philanthropist Harvinder Singh Bhangoo in the memory of his late grandfather Gurdial Singh Bhangoo. The trust is being managed by medical professionals dedicated to undertake human resource development programmes through educational, health and community welfare activities by establishing schools, colleges, hospitals and social welfare centers.
